On May 11th my host brother had his birthday, it was week filled with lots of friends and family, which meant a lot of speaking in Spanish for me. The night before his birthday he had about 25 friends over to drink, talk, listen to music, eat lots of food and give thanks for Fernando. I had a great time with this friends, they were extremely friendly to me and very welcoming. Most of the time they were asking me questions about the states, for example what TV's are popular?, is anime popular there?, What are American girls like? etc... it was a little overwhelming with them just shouting questions, but it was a blast. Everyone had to go around and say something about Fernando and what he means to them. They even made me do it and of course I did it! here are some pictures:

Then for the night of his real birthday the extended family was over. Abuelo, Abuela, Dios Madre y primos. It was a lot of fun meeting the whole family, I feel very close to my host my family because of this night, they made me feel at home!
